My Approach
Teaching Philosophy
Ada believes that the distance between the lecture theatre and the ward is not merely physical — it is pedagogical. Her teaching is built around closing that gap: every concept introduced in the classroom is anchored to a clinical scenario, a real patient story, or a live question from practice.
She does not lecture at students — she thinks alongside them. Her seminars are designed to provoke, not just inform: students are asked to question assumptions, defend positions, and sit with complexity rather than rush toward tidy answers. The goal is not to produce graduates who know the right answer, but nurses who know how to find it.
Most importantly, Ada treats every student as a future colleague — not a receptacle for content. The respect she extends in the classroom is the same respect she expects them to carry to the bedside.
I don’t teach nursing.

The distinction matters. A curriculum can transfer knowledge. Only a teacher can shape a professional identity — the habits of mind, the ethical instincts, the courage to act in uncertainty.

Mentorship Programme
Ada reserves a small number of mentorship places each year for nursing students and early-career professionals who are serious about growing — not just passing.
What It Involves
Monthly one-on-one sessions focused on academic development, career direction, and clinical confidence. Ada works with each mentee individually — no generic scripts, no group sessions. Each conversation is shaped by where you are and where you want to go.
Who It Is For
Final-year undergraduates navigating the transition to clinical practice, postgraduate students managing dissertation pressure, and early-career nurses considering a move into academia or research. Applications are considered on a rolling basis with a maximum of four active mentees at any time.

Send a short note (no more than 300 words) through the contact form explaining where you are in your nursing journey, what you are hoping to work through, and what you think mentorship from Ada specifically could offer you. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a brief introductory call.
